金曜日の放送は、月曜日から木曜日の内容の復習日になるため、
内容は、月曜日から木曜日のストーリー部分のディクテーションになる。

やはり、名前や間投詞の部分のつづりが難解なのと、Miss. なのか、Ms. なのかが
聞き分け出来ず、正解が不明で悩ましい。
一ヵ所、” Noa and I ” のところが最初、No one die なんて風に聞こえてしまった（笑）
自分の聞き取りの苦手な部分がわかって面白かった。
基礎英語1 5/25～5/29放送分 ディクテーションチャレンジ
今年度最初の放送から順番にディクテーションチャレンジをしていく予定だった。
けれど、テキスト無し学習をしようとしている誰かに役立ててもらうためには、
放送を聞き逃してしまった人でもストリーミング放送で視聴できるうちじゃないと
意味がないと気づいたため、予定を変更。
本当ならば、放送直後に更新出来るようにしたいところだけど、なにしろ、
時給労働者な私はとにかく時間がない！
というわけでしばらくは、ストリーミング放送公開前のタイミングに更新出来ることを
目指す予定。
テキストなしの学習で困るのは、英語部分のみだと思うので、
その部分のみのディクテーションをしていく予定。
間投詞、地名、人名のスペリングや、カンマ、冠詞の有無など、出来る限り確認しながらやっていくつもりではあるものの、正確性に欠ける部分が出てくるのはご了承のうえ
役立ててもらえたらと思う。

ごみ収集カレンダーの英語 英語萌えNo.4
生活にするにあたりとっても大切なごみ収集スケジュールを確認できる
ごみ収集カレンダー。
他の地域ではどうなのかはわからないが、私の住んでいる自治体のごみ収集カレンダーは、ところどころ4か国語の表記があるのに説明が不十分すぎて、外国の方がこのカレンダーを見ても絶対わからないだろうなあという残念な作り。
細かいことはともかく、英語萌えしてみる。
ごみ収集カレンダー
Rubbish collection calendar
コレクションとかいうと、フィギュアとか、骨とう品とか切手とか、趣味のものを
集めたものみたいな感じがしてしまう。
こういう使い方をするんだ。
Burnable rubbish
私の以前の勤務先のごみ収集所では、combustible trash のほうが使われていた。
kitchen waste
辞書で調べてみると、
（米）（ kitchen ）garbage
（英） kitchen refuse
なんていう表現もあって、面白い。
同じ英語でも米英違う単語を使っていることがすごく多い。
木片
wood
木片という日本語表記にはなんだか違和感。
材質が木のものでも、大きいものは出せないですよ！という意味を込めたのかも。
プラスチック類
発泡スチロール
polystylene
発泡スチロールは、商標名になるのだけど、Styrofoam なんていう呼び方も
ある。
以前私が勤めていたインターナショナルプリスクールでは、こちらを使っていた。
日本でも、食物ラップを（それがたとえクレラップであったとしても）サランラップ
と呼んだり、付箋のことをポストイットと呼んだりするのと同じ。

せとものの英語、なんだか難しい単語。発音するのも難しい。
NHKラジオ英語講座で china と言っているのを聞いたことが何回かある。
ん？中国？？？と一瞬混乱したのでよく覚えている。

noxious はじめましての英語！ 日本語見たとき、toxic ではないのかなあと
反射的に思ってしまったけど、
toxicは、有毒な noxiousは、有害な、健康に悪い
という意味なので、まったくちがう意味の単語。
私は基本的に、従来の受験英語的な日英対照させて単語を暗記するというような
学習法をしていない。
大半は、たくさんの英文に触れることによるエピソード記憶によって
学習しているため、単語の意味は日本語ではなくてイメージで覚えている。
だから改めて、日本語の意味を辞書で確認すると、カメラレンズのピントを
合わせて、ぼんやりしたイメージがはっきり見えたときのような感覚がある。

recyclableとなっていないのは、謎。なぜハイフン入れたのかな？

ペットボトルは、plastic bottles が一般的だと思っていたのだけど、
ここをあえて、材質名である、PET（polythylene terephthalate ) にしたのは、
何か意味があるのかも。

○ごみや資源物はただしく分別し、決められた収集日の当日、朝8時までに所定の集積所に出してください。（収集作業後に出されたごみは再収集できません。）

”ごみ” にあたる英単語だけでも、

と、たくさんある。
廃棄物なんていう別の言い方になれば、waste なんて単語もある。
trashは傾向として、紙くずなどの乾いたもの、
garbageは、生ごみを指すよう。
気になった単語の詳細を調べてみると新しい発見が絶えない。

と自分で自分に突っ込みを入れつつ、タイピング練習も兼ねて、
記録を残すことに。

towardって、ぴかりんご的にはどこかに向かっているイメージなのだけど、
一体どこに向かっているのか、わからなかった。

If we leave them open just a little, we can chat with each other.
We've chatted every night for a really long time.
I don't know how many times our mothers got angry.
Anzu and I have a great idea.
We want to build a bridge between our windows.
Then we can visit each other anytime we like.
My father thinks it will be dangerous, but I think it's the best idea ever.
It will be like sharing one giant bed room.

基礎英語2 Review(6) 5/15金曜日放送分 ディクテーションチャレンジ
言い訳にしかならないが、思いの外ディクテーションは時間がかかる。
ただディクテーションをするだけでは、モチベーション弱いなあと思い、
テキストを購入しないで視聴している人の学習に役に立てればと考え、
月曜日から木曜日の放送の解説部分や日本文などもタイプしていたが、
時間がかかりすぎるので、断念。
誰のセリフなのかのの表記もこの際カットして、聞こえてきた英文をそのままタイプしていく。
今後はしばらくは月曜日から木曜日のストーリー全文もカバー可能なので、
金曜日の復習放送のディクテーションをメインにチャレンジの予定。
いずれは可能な限り、放送直後に本文のtranscriptをアップ出来るように目指していく。
