基礎英語1・2・3 6/4放送分ディクテーションチャレンジ
久しぶりにNHKのウェブサイトをチェックしてみたら、期間限定ではあるものの、通常のストリーミング放送より長期間、基礎英語の４講座とラジオ英会話の計5講座の
４月からの放送が全部聞けるようになっていた！！
なんと、本文の部分の確認も文字ベースで確認できるようになっている！！
正直、今回の基礎英語3のリーディングのパートのディクテーションは
話し言葉ではない分、難易度が高くて、めちゃくちゃ難しかった。
せっかくなので、基礎英語3だけは、自分の聞き間違えた箇所を赤字に変えてみた。

Britain has a famous royal family.
In 2012 (two thousand twelve ), Queen Elizabth the second had her diamond jubilee.
A Jubilee is an anniversary or special event. A diamond anniversary is celebrating sixty years. So, Qween Elizabeth was celebrating sixty years of being Queen.
There were celebrations in many countries.
Foreign royalty from many places came to visit.
There were events with music, art and food from the last sixty years.
More than one thousand boats sailed down the River Thames in a special procession.
In some places, people had big public parties. A lot of people had public street parties. These roads were closed to traffic.
Everyone brought food, and there were big benches where people sat and ate.
British flags were hung from lamp posts.
This was a very memorable event for the British people.

Foreign のところが Fine に聞こえてしまった。
Foreign royalty で外国の王室って意味になるんだ！と新たな学び。

6月1日に当日投稿出来て、めちゃくちゃ嬉しかったので、
6月2日も！！と張り切っていた矢先に、朝イチで勤務先からの電話。
バイトちゃんの急な欠勤に対応しなければならない羽目になって、
泣く泣く2日連続の当日投稿ならず！
人生うまくいかないことしかない！といつまでも腹を立てていても、
自分にとってマイナスにしかならないので気を取り直して、
ディクテーションチャレンジ。
本日は、6月2日に放送された、基礎英語1～3をまとめてやろうと思う。

これは、日本語の会話においてもよくあるシチュエーション。
「～ちゃん、１０年前と全然変わってないねー！」という感じで使える！

実は、ディクテーション中に グランタリア？ 人名だよな？とは、
思っていたものの、この解答部分聞いてはじめて、グラント・アリアなんだ！と
わかった。（汗）それにしても、つづりは、デタラメ。正解は不明。
The meeting has just started.
The movie started five minitues ago.
過去形と現在完了は、中学校のときにはじめて習ったときには、
文法書に載っているような用語並べられて教えられたせいか、
正直、イマイチ、よくわかっていなかった。
① I lost my wallet.
② I've lost my wallet.
③ He went to New York.
④ He has gone to New York.
この２つのペアを見比べてみるみるとわかりやすいかもしれない。
違いがわかるだろうか？
まず、①も②も財布を無くしたことには違いはないのだけど、
決定的に違うのは現在の状況。
①の文章では、過去のある時点で財布を無くした事実だけを述べている。
だけど、現在、その財布が見つかったのか見つかっていないのかは、一切わからない。
それに対して、②の文章では、過去のある時点で財布を無くして、現時点でも財布がまだ見つかっていないという事実が含まれている。
③の英文も、彼が過去のある時点にニューヨークに行ったという事実のみが述べられていて、彼がいまどこにいるかわからない。
それに対して、④は過去のある時点でニューヨークに行ったことにプラスして、
現時点でもニューヨークにいる事実まで含まれているということ。
I have been to New York.
この英文に関しては、今はニューヨークにいないけど、今までに行ったことがある
という意味になったりする。
文法書で勉強していたりすると、いろいろ混乱してくるけど、
深く考えないで、様々なシチュエーションの中の生きた英語に沢山触れていると
ジグソーパズルのピースが埋まってくるみたいにもやもやが晴れてくるので、
心配ない。

前置詞は、本当に難しい。
でも、丸覚えが一番だと思う。

この文章って、とっても、英語らしい。
現時点でまだみほちゃんと会っていない状態だけど、進行形。
現在の動作ではなく、ごく近い未来に起こることを
今、そうしているかのように表しているカタチ。
中学時代の私が見たら、すごく混乱すると思う。
現在の英語教育は本当に進化した。

（相手を誘うときの例文）

（ディクテーションで悩ましかったポイント）
パーカーコーチの部分の表記。
coachの前に冠詞の音が聞こえてこなかったので、大文字にしてみた。
もしディクテーションせずにテキスト学習していたら気にならずに
スルーしていたところだと思う。
テキストにどう表記されているのかは、非常に気になるところ。
（英語萌えポイント）
①やはり、play with の意味
通常なら一緒にプレイをするイメージだけど、ここでは指導を受けてプレイする
ような意味で使われていることが面白い。
②日本語では「ナイスシュート！！」だけど、
英語では、nice shot !!
shootは、動詞で、shotは、名詞という点。
そういえば” shot ”って余談だけど、アメリカ英語では、注射という意味もある
し、お酒の一杯なんていう感じでも使われてる。
基礎英語２では、リピーティング練習を取り入れている様子。
耳で聴きとった英語を一文まるごと頭に入れなきゃいらないので、
シャドウイングとは別の難しさ。
テキストを見ずに練習するのが効果的だ。

NHK語学講座を担当されている先生方は、それぞれ違ったアプローチのしかたで番組づくりをされている。
基礎英語１では、メインのストーリーとは別のカジュアルなフリートークから番組を始めて、視聴者をウォーミングアップさせてくれる。
英語学習者にとって、多くの英語のシチュエーションに触れることによるメリットは
とても大きい。
たった１５分の番組構成で、シャドウイング、ライティング、リスニングも全部
入っていて、感心してしまう。
番組を録音して、フリートーク、本文の英文をその人になったつもりで
音読するとエピソード記憶として記憶に残りやすくなるので、やってみることを
おススメする。
私が中学校ではじめて英語を習ったときは、This も満足につづれないぐらいで
学校の勉強が得意だった３学年上の兄にひどくバカにされて、大笑いされていた。
あれから、36年の月日が経過した。
いまだにたいした英語力ではないながらも、少なくともあのとき私をバカにしていた
兄よりもはるかに英語が出来るようになっていると自負している。
継続は力なり。これにつきる！！

英語では、trump は、切り札のことなので、トランプをするは、
play cards という。
このことって私の決して短くない英語学習人生の中で
何回も耳にしてきたこと。とは言え、すっかり忘れていたのので、
忘れていた知識を思い出す、良い機会になったのでよかった。

What now !! 今度は何！！
この表現って、たった2語の簡単な表現なのに、いざ使おうと思うとき思い出せなくて使えない気がする。
理解出来ることと使えることは、まったく別の話。
一流大学に入学できる英語力があっても、英語がペラペラとは限らないというのは、
そういうことだと思う。
こういう表現が自然と口から出てくるような英語力を身につけたいものだ。

Oh, men ! （くだけた表現）なんてこった！ おやおや。
こういう表現って、学校の教科書には出てこない表現。日本語でもそうだけれど、
よそゆきの言葉づかいと日常の言葉づかいは全く違う。
コミュニケーションのためには、両方とも絶対大切だと思う。
こういう英語もガンガン吸収していきたい！！

cricket
この単語は、ここではスポーツ名として使われているけれど、
他にも、”こおろぎ”とか、”（木製の）低い三脚のいす”の意味がある。
plant も”植物””のほかに、”工場”の意味もあるし。
英語ってこういう複数の全く違う意味を持つ単語多くて、すごく面白い。

I had an amazing experience when I was thirteen years old.
I was sitting on a bench at a shopping mall on a saturday afternoon.
A man walked in front of me with his son.
Saddenly I recognized the man. He was a guiterist in my favorite band.
I was staring at him. He saw me and said, " hello ".
I was so nervous but I spoke to him.
We talked for a little bit and he was very friendly.
I couldn't believe I was chatting with my favorite guiterist.
He even took a picture with me.
Sometimes people ask me the question.
" Who would you like to meet most ? "
I tell them I have already met him.
I would also like to meet the singer from the same band.
I have not met him yet. I hope I will meet him oneday.
基礎英語3レベルにもなると、文章がとにかく長い！！
水曜放送分のディクテーションの際にすごく戸惑った。
話者の声質や話グセのようなものがすごくて、はじめは違う言語を聞いているような
錯覚に陥った。
私の勤務先である100円ショップには外国人のお客様がよく来店するのだが、
インドなまりの英語は癖が強いので、聴きとるのにいつもすごく苦労する。
しまいには、紙に書いてもらって、ようやくわかる感じ。
日本人でさえ、その人の話し方によって聞き取りづらかったりするから同じことなのかもしれない。
